Our mission

Our mission has both stateside and international components which overlap and strengthen each other.  Living in South Carolina and being stationed at Bob Jones Academy provides many platforms for exposing young believers to the rewards, opportunities, and challenges of international mission work.  These include mission chapels, special mission projects, short-term trips, and even internships. Opportunities to partner with local churches or Bob Jones University provides incredibly diverse resources and a greatly expanded footprint of impact.

Head of School by day (and sometimes by night)

Bob Jones Academy is a private, Christian school on the campus of Bob Jones University.  As head of school, Doug is responsible for the school culture, spiritual climate, and educational mission of the team.  With a gifted and dedicated team of administrators, teachers, and staff members, BJA is an ideal setting for developing effective discipleship programs, teacher training resources, and Christian educational philosophy materials for use in international settings.

Friends in the mission.

The involvement of our team of ministry partners is not limited to giving toward projects, praying for needs, or reading our updates.  We encourage our teammates to come visit a field with us on one of our regularly scheduled teaching modules or on one of our specific, project-driven trips.  No matter what your level of giftedness, willingness, or experience, there is something you can do for eternity.  We can guarantee that you will not look at your own Christian walk or God's marvelous work in the same way again! Church mission conferences, individual meetings, and small group settings are all ways that we would love to inform and involve stateside believers involved in the RECLAIMED mission to change eternity!

Teaching accredited courses to nationals
in the Middle East & Africa

Teaching seven-day undergraduate and graduate-level modules is an exciting, regularly scheduled component of our RECLAIMED mission strategy.  With a terminal degree in Educational Leadership, Doug is able to teach education classes in four different locations in the Middle East and Africa as a professor for NTCGS (the National Theological College and Graduate School).  Founded in 2000 as a ministry to give nationals accredited, affordable,  high-quality, biblically-sound theological training, NTCGS now has graduated over 500 graduates from four different locations - Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Uganda.
Each NTCGS professor must cover the cost for his individual airfare, food, lodging,, course textbooks, and interpreter expenses which average $2,500 in total per module.  Spring and fall modules are held in each location and we are planning for 1-2 trips per calendar year.

Training Christian School Teachers
in Africa

Using a network of contacts from previous schools, NTCGS classes and other ministry partners, we have seen an opportunity to train Christian teachers in Africa who are laboring faithfully in Christian schools. Biblically based educational training, professional development and fellowship are a great need in Africa to keep up with the explosion of Christian schools.
Stateside Christian school teachers, administrators and others will be our precious brothers and sisters life-giving discipleship, coaching, encouragement, and professional development through multi-day Teacher Conferences.
During a two week period in May 2023, we will be leading a group of stateside Christian school teachers who will be conducting Teacher Conferences at two different Christian schools in Uganda - Legacy Christian Academy, part of Sufficency of Scriptures Ministries in Luwero and Word of Life International School in Entebbe.

In addition to these multi-day conferences, we will visit, encourage, and conduct training for a network of rural Ugandan Christian schools in Iganga in eastern Uganda. A group of 7-10 small Christian schools in this impoverished region are a part of the newly formed Rural Teacher Support Network under the leadership of pastor Sam Sanywa, a recent NTCGS graduate. Our African brothers and sisters are in dire need of encouragement, fellowship, and support in their difficult and challenging calling to be Christian educators in rural Africa.
